The entire University community is hereby notified that the Work Study programme of the University continues in the 2010/2011 session. The conditions for participating in the programme remain the same, namely,
1. Student must be in the regular undergraduate degree programme of the University.
2. Student must not be a fresher and must not be in his/her final year of the degree programme.
3. Student's CGPA must not be less than 2.50
4. Participation in the programme is voluntary and is meant to help deserving students gain work experience and earn decent money. Students are, therefore, free to opt out of the programme at any point in time and may also be asked to withdraw from the programme for unsatisfactory performance.
Student workers shall be paid monthly, based on the number of hours of work done at the rate of N200 per hour or N300 per hour for office or field work respectively.
Interested students should submit their application letters to the Director, TEC, in hard copies and or by e- mail to arakinyo@unilorin.edu.ng. The application should contain student's full Name, Date of Birth, Nationality, Gender, Course of Study, Year of Admission, Level in 2010/2011, Previous Training if any, Work Experience if any, CGPA at the end of 2009/2010.
Applications are welcome till the end of November, 2010.
REQUEST FOR STUDENT WORKERS.
Faculties, Departments and Units that are interested in engaging the services of student workers in the Work Study Programme in the coming session should indicate their interest by responding to this advertisement, giving the following information:
a. Name of Faculty/ Department/Unit
b. Number of student workers needed
c. Specific work to be done by student workers.
d. Name of a responsible staff supervisor for the student workers.
Interested Faculties/Departments/Units should respond to this request latest by the 15th November, 2010, through a memorandum to the Director, TEC.
