Location: LAGOS – U.S. Consulate General

Organisation: United States Mission, Lagos

WORK HOURS: Full-time; 48 hours/week

SALARY: OR-Ordinarily Resident: N 1,671,821 per annum

(Starting basic Salary)

Position Grade: FSN-04

In addition to the basic salary, all allowances will be paid in accordance with the U.S. Mission Local Compensation Plan (LCP).

NOR-Not Ordinarily Resident: EFM/MOH – US$21,840

(Starting Salary) per annum.

Position Grade: FP-BB

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

•   The incumbent, under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs the full range of journeyman level painting, including blending, matching paints and exact finishing when a decorative effect may be desired.

•   Incumbent may be assigned to renovation and special improvement projects. He/she determines methods, techniques, devices and materials that best suit the surface finishing required.

•   When assigned unscheduled work, incumbent determines the nature and scope of the problem, materials and tools required for correction.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Completion of Primary School is required.

2. Minimum of one (1) year of journeyman painter experience is needed.

3. Level I (Basic knowledge) speaking/reading English is required.

4. Full journeyman painter knowledge of established practices, materials and procedures is required.

5. A valid driver's license is required.
