While I was in a youth conference earlier this month, the inspiration to write on the above topic struck my mind. It was so obvious on me that I could not help saying it out.
The NIV Bible puts it right;
The creation waits in eager expectation for the manifestation of the sons of God to be revealed – Romans 8: 19.
The need to write on the above topic later became clear to me when I looked in time past many that would have fulfilled their life's assignment but failed and end up failing their generation because of immediate pleasure.
Looking at our world today, many youth are failing their life's assignment and many has not yet discovered the essence of their existence. Oh, they wonder about in life not finding time to discover what they are actually meant for. They waste their glory by wasting their youthful strength on things that amounts to nothing.
Youths, your generations are those people that are meant to benefit from the fulfillment of your life's assignment. You must not fail them.
There are so many waiting for your revelation. Unless you are revealed, your generation will not benefit from you. Destiny is calling out your name!
HOW THEN WILL YOU START?
GET IN TOUCH WITH YOUR MAKER (GOD):
This is the first step to take if you do not want to fail your generation. I could remember telling God to reveal to me what I'm meant for – My life's assignment. Most time I pray, even though I had so many other prayer requests on my mine, the first of those requests is the prayer; "Lord reveal to me my life's assignment". We are created for His purpose and a life that fails to fulfill his calling has failed the purpose of his creation.
Divine revelation of your life's assignment assures you of a fulfilled and impactful life to your generation. Joseph had a divine revelation of what he is to become and he did, not just to earn a living in the land of Egypt but to impact lives – to be a blessing!
A product can not know more than his maker. Most times we missed it by thinking within ourselves that we know quite all right what we are meant for. We look within ourselves and say "This is who I am".
God told Jeremiah that he (God) knew who he (Jeremiah) was even before he was formed that he was appointed to be a prophet. The question is, what are you appointed for? A teacher, a singer? etc.
Whatever it is, you've got to know from your maker. You can't make a point in your generation until you discover your appointment in life.
JOSEPH WOULD HAVE FAILED!
One of the major cause that makes one fail is the thirst for immediate pleasure and this has being on the increase in the life of youths today.
Many of the intercourseual immorality done today is mostly done by the youth, they waste their destiny on sinful pleasures.
Joseph could have done the same thing with his boss's wife and would have been a failure to thousands of life during the period of famine in the land of Egypt.
The fulfillment of your life's assignment is the answer to the eager expectation of the creation.
SAMSON FAILED!
Samson's life's assignment was cut short because he did not pursue first his divine assignment. He puts first the immediate pleasure of his heart of the woman of Philistines.
When a man failed his divine assignment, he has endangered lives that are to be blessed through its fulfillment.
Remember, immediate pleasure kills, it destroys ones destiny. Many destiny were destroyed in the generation before us and thousands of many are being destroy in our present generation.
Wake up YOUTHS, time is not on your side. Use your strength now that you can. Proverb says, the glory of the youth is in their strength.
