Job Description:
• Client Satisfaction – Overall responsibility to work with the assigned PM to ensure that the proper systems and controls are employed on the project including Primavera P6, and other software applications as noted within the PEP, in order to foster client satisfaction.
• Develop and Integrate a Web-based PCS – Work with the IT Specialist and Sub-consultant to develop a Project Controls System (PCS) within the larger E-Collaboration Web-based Project environment, using the DA/WP standard EMS and WPMP tools and procedures, and the standard PCS software tools.
• Assess Existing Data – Review existing project controls reports and assess existing projects/programs at the assigned Ministry and identify and document areas for improvement in the quantity and quality of the data available.
• Interfacing with Project Contractor's Staff – Review of submitted Contractor's PEP's, Project Controls and procedures (the effort leading to the Contractor's Baseline CPM Schedule included), BOQ's and End of Month Invoicing procedures. Must be an effective communicator with other non-DA PCM staff.
Job Specific Knowledge:
• Minimum Project Controls experience consisting of at least two large infrastructure projects through. Must have performed successfully as Project Controls Manager on at least two Infrastructure, Commercial or Municipal type projects (large residential complexes or compounds will count)
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Africa preferred.
• Proven Project Controls skills in international, multi-cultural and multi-national environments. International experience within the Project Controls discipline is required, as well as prior experience with holistic E-Collaboration Web-based systems such as PMIS, Livelink, Constructware, Aconex or similar.
• Experience as Project Manager on smaller or non-infrastructure projects will be considered a plus.
• Much demonstrate a cooperative team approach.
Industry Specific Experience:
Project/Program familiarity with application of practices within the international construction industry is an advantage
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
• engineering degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification (with specific training in Primavera and other software that may be used) with a minimum of 12 years industry experience.
• Professional registration is a plus.
