There is an exciting opportunity to potentially be involved with one of the world's largest offshore projects as Lead Structural Engineer. The engineering team will be based in Nigeria on a rotational assignment for upto 24 months. The successful candidate will have previous overseas and lumpsum experience as well as experience in Engineering design of offshore, topsides and/or FPSO projects.

As Lead Structural Engineer you will be responsible for the definition and design of offshore structural engineering analysis and design of topsides and associated substructures.
Specific Accountabilities
• Overall supervision of structural engineers.
• Technical competence of structural personnel.
• Forecast requirement for structural engineering resources, and allocate those resources.
• Structural design integrity of work scope and maintenance of standards.
• Identify structural software necessary to enable structural group to function effectively.
• Interdisciplinary communication development.
• Structural group communication development.
• Prepare structural discipline man hour estimates to perform project tasks.
• Manage structural engineering design and any design changes within budget and schedule.
• Evaluate new technology advancements against existing design standards and revise where applicable.
• Promote cost reduction and productivity enhancing initiatives.
Essential Skills/Experience:
• Applicants require experience in working in a structural engineering team within a large multi discipline project tea
• Lump sum and overseas experience
• Experince in engineering design of offshore, topsides and FPSO projects
• Engineering degree or relevant education/experience
• Vast amount of years experience in oil & gas / refinery / petrochemical industry
• Proven experience within an exngineering manager role on overseas and lumpsum projects
