BARELY a few weeks after a row with Iran, Nigeria may be heading for a fresh diplomatic row with the United States over non-extradition of a suspect, James Kenneth Tillery, who was implicated in the $6million Wilbros scandal.

It was learnt that the US government is adamant on the suspect's extradition.

But there is pressure on the Attorney-General of the Federation, Mohammed Bello Adoke (SAN) by counsel for Tillery not to hand over the American businessman, who has also naturalised as a Nigerian.

The Wilbros group, a Houston-based oil firm, had been found guilty of allegedly violating the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
