BARELY 72 hours after the Niger state governor, Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu raised an alarm over planned invasion of the state by the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram, a member of the sect was arrested by police at Paiko town, 20 kilometers away from Minna, the state capital.

A 35 year old Fulani man, Miyida Ganjo from Anka in Zamfara State, whose literary interpretation of his name means 'I hate my Enemy' was arrested by a combined team of plain cloth and armed mobile police men after trailing him and his activities for two days.
Parading the suspect before newsmen at the Force headquarters in Minna on Saturday, the Commissioner of police, Mr. Mike Zuokumor, said the suspected Boko Haram was picked up by his men following a tip-off from members of the public who doubted his mission in the area.
