Job Title: Librarian

1. Senior Librarian – MUASSS 4
Candidates should possess a Master's degree in Library/Archive and Information Science from a recognized University with at least six (6) years of relevant post qualification experience in an academic/research library system. Candidates must also show evidence of considerable scholarship and thorough understanding of the application of new technologies to library operations and services e.g. cataloguing and classification, information literacy, and on-line information service. Candidates will be required to show sufficient evidence of contribution to knowledge through research and scholarly publications in reputable journals.
2. Librarian I – MUASSS 3
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from a recognized University with at least three (3) years of relevant post qualification experience in an academic/research library system. Computer literacy and application of ICT to acquisition work are essential requirements.
SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES
McPherson University runs a remuneration package which is comparable to what obtains in public Universities in Nigeria. The basic salaries are as follows:
v. Senior Librarian MUASSS 4 (N1,133,550.00 -N1,455,335.00) per annum
vi. Librarian I MUASSS 3 (N908,301,00 – N1,085,114.00) per annum
