The American College of Greece offers Aegean Scholarships for Undergraduate Students, Greece 2012

Eligibility:

In order to be considered, the applicant must:

-Meet all requirements for admission to the College.

-Be a native of one of the islands located in the eastern part of the Aegean specified as follows: Aghios Efstratios, Astypalaia, Chalki, Chios, Enousses, Fourni, Ikaria, Kalymnos, Karpathos, Kassos, Kastellorizo, Kos, Leros, Lesvos, Limnos, Nisyros, Patmos, Psara, Rhodos, Samos, Samothraki, Serifos, Symi, Thassos, Tilos. (Proof of birthplace is required.) have completed his/her secondary education at a Greek lyceum on one of the designated islands. (One copy of the High School Diploma is required.)

-Demonstrate financial need.

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: Aghios Efstratios, Astypalaia, Chalki, Chios, Enousses, Fourni, Ikaria, Kalymnos, Karpathos, Kassos, Kastellorizo, Kos, Leros, Lesvos, Limnos, Nisyros, Patmos, Psara, Rhodos, Samos, Samothraki, Serifos, Symi, Thassos, Tilos.

Scholarship Description: These scholarships were established in 1990 on the occasion of the 115th anniversary of the founding of the College, in recognition of the Aegean's role in Greek history and world civilization, and in honor of an area closely associated with the origin of the College. The scholarships are periodically awarded to academically promising students of limited financial resources who come from the Aegean's frontier islands.

How to Apply: By post

Scholarship Application Deadline:By July 1 for the whole Academic Year, September 1 for the current Academic Year and by December 20 for Spring Semester.
