Job Description:
• Marketing Director – International Consumer Goods firm – (Lagos – Nigeria) – $248,000.00 USD + 25% performance-related bonus – This is a terrific opportunity for an accomplished Marketing Specialist to manage the marketing department of an established International Consumer Goods firm.
• Our client is an established International company which is expanding its operations. The company is one of the market leaders within its industry and has been established internationally for some time.
• They are looking for a competent professional with extensive marketing experience and a good mix of systems and people skills to manage the operations of their marketing office.
• The position will require occasional travel to other international offices but apart from this the candidate will be permanently based in the specified location.
• This is a core vacancy and as such the salary offered is calculated under the Chief Officer code.
• This position also includes a first rate healthcare, pension and a possible share options package.
• The candidate will be responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of the marketing department incorporating approximately several hundred employees.
• They will be directly responsible to the Managing Director and will be involved at board level with a number of other departmental officers who are responsible for Information Technology, Procurement, Finance, Human Resources, Production, Customer Services and E-commerce.
• The successful Marketing Director will be responsible for implementing and managing marketing strategy by decentralising responsibility to key operational personnel.
Desired Skills & Experience:
• The successful candidate will have a marketing or business administration related degree, prefarably a corresponding Masters degree and should also have marketing related professional qualifications.
• They will also have experience within the specified industry and be an experienced executive at this level.
• Our client is looking for a candidate who is methodical in their approach with a multi-cultural background and an international perspective.
• You should also be able to demonstrate a progressive track record of success within your career and have a sound commercial business understanding.
• Other useful skills would be experiences relating to brand management, image management, product development, new business development, contact management, channel management, strategic alliance management, event management and corporate sponsorship.
