LAGOS—Pastor Daniel Omowumi, the owner of the two-storey building where the Dana air plane crashed into, said yesterday that he had lost property running into millions of naira as a result of the crash.
Speaking to newsmen at the scene of the crash, Pastor Omowumi thanked God, saying despite the fact that he lost so much financially, none of his family members was involved in the incident.
He said: "I was in the church when the plane crashed and I was told. When I came back, I saw that it was beyond repairs. I first appreciated God that my family was safe. There was no casualty, I went to church with my wife, three children and aged mother and the two young girls living with us and our househelp.
"The only thing left for me and my family now is the only thing that we put on to the church yesterday. As I am standing before you, this is what I was wearing and my jacket which I left at the place where we ran to."
