Scholarship Description: This fellowship was established in memory of Eric Clarence Parker, who, in 1957 became the first permanent teacher of Architecture to be appointed to the fledgling School of Architecture at the Newcastle University College. The school, formed in 1925, grew out of a call by the regional architectural profession for a professional architecture program to be offered in Newcastle to service the needs of local and regional practices.
