THE consensus candidate of the Northern Political Leaders Forum (NPLF) for the presidential primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar Tuesday said the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) zoning formula cannot be wished away.

He said power rotation has been part of Nigerian politics since the 60s to preserve the nation's unity and ensure equity.

He also warned President Goodluck Jonathan against alleged bid to use incumbency factor to alter the PDP zoning formula, which, he said, has been in place since 1999.

In what appeared a declaration of the 2011 battle, Atiku asked the President to explain why the budget is not being implemented and how the Excess Crude Account and Foreign Reserves have been depleted.
