In the past two days we've had news about the passwords leak and related stories about hacked informations on LinkedIn, facebook and others.
If a file containing passwords is leaked, it is possible for one especially those with good hacking tools to find out your real passwords and access your account, but with a good password it might take several years to crack.
And so, on this forum, we highlight some of the tips that make a good password:
- Password minimum length should be atleast 8 compost of random letters, punctions and digits.
- Never use dictionary words, personal related information like name, phone number, ID number e.t.c.
- Try to use different set of passwords in different systems
- Try to change your passwords regularly for instance every 180 days or close to similar duration.
Consider the above points and other unmentioned key points to protect your vital information.
