Role Summary/Purpose:
GE's Global Operations – Properties unit leads the full spectrum of real estate support from global facility management to construction projects worldwide to defining real estate strategy for GE locations. Reporting to the Regional Property Services Manager, SSA, responsibilities include Facilities Management operations, managing Security and Health & Safety programs at Regional GE offices in West Africa to ensure customer satisfaction and drive net operating income and growth.
Essential Responsibilities: Region consists of three sites in three countries, with additional sites planned for 2012+.
• Oversee all day-to-day facilities management operations, including communications systems, security, health & safety, mechanical and electrical and building services, procurement and office services, including through the management of external contractors.
• Direct and monitor these external contractors and their performance, including customer care operations carried out by them, ensuring that local services and processes are in line with the agreed Global Operations – Properties practices.
• Establish and develop relationships with local GE businesses and employee representatives to understand their business and to ensure that our services and solutions meet their needs while taking the global and regional business requirements into account.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent with 5+ years' experience in facility or property management with a multi-national or global organization (OR in lieu of a diploma, a high school diploma/GED and 9 years' facilities/property management experience with a multi-national or global organization)
• Knowledge of Environmental Health & Safety and/or Security Crisis Management
• Proven project management experience
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
Eligibility requirements:

• You must have unrestricted authorization to work in Nigeria.
• You must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time.
• You must be willing to work in an office in Lagos.

• Plans and organizes workloads to reflect work priorities throughout the year. Assist team to prioritize work. Consistently delivers work to tight deadlines, and works effectively on multiple tasks through effective management of the team.
• Member of industry recognized associations such as BOMA, BIFM, IFMA or MAPM
