Role Summary/Purpose:
• The Facility Manager (FM) will be measured on his customer relationship, financial & operating results for the Contractual Service business.
• The FM will be required to work independently to manage the CSA between GE and the Client.
• Establish a working relationship with the customer & be responsible for delivering high quality customer solutions including new products, outage planning, parts, services & repair.
• Deliver all aspects of Contractual Fulfillment in a timely & quality manner.
Essential Responsibilities:
• The Facility Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives.
• The Facility Manager will serve as the initial point of contact for all matters relating to the CSA Agreement.
• The Facility Manager's duties will include performing and/or supervising the following but not limited to: Oversee the care, custody, control and safe operation and maintenance of a power generation facility Manage plant to ensure optimal availability, reliability, and budgetary performance Analyze with Customer gas turbine and compressor unit trips and make recommendations to prevent similar occurrences. Understand and execute plant contractual requirements Generate recommendations on maintenance activities, documentation requirements, work schedules, methodologies and practices for the Covered Units.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. An MBA will be an added advantage
• Must have at least 8-10 years experience in Operations and Maintenance of power plants, preferably as a Field Service Engineer or Technical Advisor.
• At least 5 additional years of experience in Power Plant Management
• Must be certified as a Contract Performance Manager Prior knowledge and hands on experience of GE 6B and 7EA Gas Turbine, Generators and Process Application Axial/Centrifugal Compressors will be an added advantage.
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Willingness and ability to submit to a physical, respirator and hearing screening upon hire
• Willingness and ability to wear all required personnel protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, latex / rubber / leather gloves, safety shoes and respirator) as needed Willingness to be physically located at job site in Bonny Island, Nigeria.
