Responsibilities:
COREN-registered Professional in Mechanical Engineering (or Other Engineering Discipline) in the Oil & Gas industry, particularly in the areas of design, construction, commissioning and start-up of static and rotating mechanical equipment in a process plant. At least 3 years experience working in a Senior Mechanical or Senior Discipline Engineering role on a major oil and gas project. – Demonstrable experience in equipment specification & requisition, technical evaluation & clarifications, inspecting and testing major static, rotating & other plant equipment. – Working knowledge of relevant International Standards. – Demonstrable ability to interpret and implement Engineering processes Safety Basic Requirements in equipment designs. – Experience with the requirements of HAZOP, HAZID, Human Factors Engineering, and FIREPRAN studies. – Capable of managing the link between Contractors and equipment Manufacturers/ Vendors to ensure that the facilities are built in compliance with Shell Group standards and SPDC HSSE policies.
- Good technical and communication skills, including written English. – Potential to develop strong leadership skills. – Self-starting ability, driven to succeed, a proven achiever with ability to deliver in a challenging environment. – Willingness to ask questions, learn, and develop new abilities
Requirements:
• Minimum of University Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Other Engineering Discipline/field e.g. Electrical, Civil, Instrumentation & Control).
• Minimum 8 years experience required with about 3 in a senior position managing design & Installation activities.
