Purpose:
• The Production Chemist is responsible for providing support to and advice on all relevant aspects of process chemistry in Deepwater Projects supporting HSSE & Integrity management, project engineering, operational excellence and production reliability and optimization whilst minimizing total cost of operations. This mainly entails but is not limited to chemical management, chemical flow assurance, environmental impact and reduction, corrosion management of facilities, production optimization, gas/water/oil/glycol treatment and process surveillance.
Experience and Qualifications required:
• Minimum B.Sc. or equivalent degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering.
• At least 12 years experience in Process Chemistry or engineering operations.
• A good general knowledge of Liquid Hydrocarbon and Gas processing/operations is required
• Capturing and instilling standard "best practices", work processes, systems, and tools based on Group experiences realized from execution subsea projects
• Able to collaborate effectively with P&T colleagues across the Group to deliver quality and seamless service to our customers as needed.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and deliver results through others.
• Well-developed interpersonal relationship and communications skills are paramount for success. Inter-cultural awareness is a requirement.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
