Description:
• The Technical Coach aims at improving Drilling performance during the well construction and rig move processes. He supports the Drilling Team at any moment and advises on the integrity and safe operation of the rig hardware.
• The Technical Coach works at the rigsite to improve overall rig performance. He investigates failures related to the drilling unit and advises the appropriate corrective actions, proposes best practices related to rig operations, and advises on required changes to preventive maintenance systems, rig move procedures and rig crew training requirements. He will act as rig crew coach, providing on site expert guidance to the crews to improve routine rig operations and to implement rig operations best practices striving to reduce all rig related source of non productive time.
Responsibilities:
• Promotes Health, Safety and Environment.
• Participate in all investigations teams of incidents and accidents at the rig site.
• Conduct audits and inspections for the Rigs and third parties.
• Promote drills for Kicks, fire, spills, evacuation.
• Prevent spills and environment contamination at each rig location.
Operation:
• Supports verification of all equipment of Rig is in operational order.
• Verify for proper inspection and certifications of the equipment to be run in hole.
• Evaluate continuously the performance and proper functioning of solid control equipment inside designed parameters, daily inspection should be developed.
• Coach Drilling team to optimize all Rig related activities
• Advise on optimization opportunities for all operations
• Monitor for proper storage and handling of the Chemical products at rig site.
• Supervise the preventive maintenance of rig equipment according with schedule of Rig owner.
• Ensure continuous improvement of the rig crews members performance, develop periodicals informal evaluations and identify competences and areas of improvement.
Communication:
• Participate in daily morning meetings for rig and propose improvement to communication process
• Ensures proper communication with project organizations
Administrative:
• Set Key Performance Indicators for each Rig to assure continuous improvement
• Evaluates results and performance of drilling contractor
• Monitors Non Productive Time and technical performance for supervised rigs.
• Ensure compliance and maintenance of records for crew's certifications requirements.
