Purpose
• Assist the Equipment Manager in all overall supervision of Capacity and Equipment Flow Management within Nigeria
• Executing Equipment Maintenance & Repair (EMR) & Reefer related activities including coordination regarding Reefer handling with Terminals & Vessels & Repair Vendors including CIS.
• 3rd parties recoveries follow up
• Follow up for requirement of HSSE for EMR function.
• Coordination with Liner Operations Cluster (LOC), Global Service Centre, and Centre Operations on all equipment related issues for Nigeria.
Area of responsibility
1. Equipment Maintenance & Management Activities.
2. 3rd Party Recoveries handling & tracing and Claims Handling
3. Reefers handling related activities.
Position Specifications
• Generic Characteristics
The ideal candidate will be a person who has excellent analytical and negotiation skills. A person with result orientation, who can communicate and drive the necessary changes within own area of control
• Education and Experience – Tertiary experience of liner shipping business – University degree
• Technical Skills and Competencies – Strong commitment to drive performance and deliver results – Analytical skills – Logical approach to problems with ability to work under pressure – Lean mindset & understanding – Change management mindset – Ability to work with new system & strong business knowledge
• Physical Demands and Work Environment – The position may also require to work outside of normal hours from time to time
This position reports to the Central West Africa Cluster Operations Manager
