The National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki paid a visit today to Kano state.
During his meeting with Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Dasuki said he was in Kano to assure the state government of his support towards the restoration of peace and lamented that his comments had been 'misinterpreted' and 'sensationalized' by the press during his previous visits to other states.
He reminded journalists of the need to be more ethical and responsible in their profession, warning that he takes the issue of negative reporting on his activities seriously.
Governor Kwankwaso thanked the NSA for the visit and pledged to support the federal government in its quest to make the country more secure.
The NSA had visited Yobe, Borno and Plateau in recent days as part of his efforts to restore peace in the troubled states.
