Job Information:
Reporting to the GM Classifieds, the incumbent of this role will be responsible for ensuring maximum growth and efficiency for the Classifieds operations in Nigeria and West Africa. The need is for a Country Manager with a track record of effective business leadership and strategic and operational direction and who is able to take multi-tasking to the next level and effectively coordinate the efforts of managers and teams. The candidate will ideally come with an accomplished background in an online business.
Responsibilities:
• Grow online classifieds business to that of a dominant position, meeting targets set by executive team
• Design, implement, and evaluate organization and staffing to effectively accomplish the goals and objectives; recruit, employ, train and manage professional and support staff
• Provide leadership and direction and manage staff in accordance with company goals and objectives
• Direct and coordinate activities within departments
• Interact and report regularly with executive team to ensure that company's operational priorities are aligned with overall company direction
• Participate in strategic business development to ensure product uptake and growth
• Manage budget and oversee accounting/payroll functions with the finance team
• Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures and present suggestions for consideration
Experience & Knowledge:
• Excellent knowledge of the classifieds market situation (online and offline), regulatory situation and competitors
• Excellent knowledge of the Nigerian consumer market, trends and local insights in consumer behaviourbehavior
• Experience in FMCG / CPG marketing
• Experience in managing and motivating teams
• Proven experience in product development, deployment, marketing, growth and sustainability
• Experience in building C2C and B2C relationships an advantage
• Experience in customer support and building loyalty, trust and customer relationships
• Experience in mobile, online and traditional marketing
• 4-6 years relevant experience
• Working knowledge of PC and mobile based Internet and software applications
• Proven experience with organizational development, product strategy, process reengineering and cost analysis
• Negotiation skills
• Budgeting and forecasting experience

• Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial and operational data and prepare business reports, projections, and recommendations

Education:
• A graduate degree in Business or related field.
• Post graduate qualification is an added advantage
