AS part of the scheming for 2011, loyalists of ex-President Ibrahim Babangida and two other groups in the South-East are scrambling to produce a running mate to ex-Vice-President Atiku Abubakar if he wins the presidential primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party in January 2011.

It was also learnt that Atiku, who is the consensus candidate of the Northern Political Leaders Forum (NPLF), has made up his mind to choose a running mate from the South East.
Those being considered are ex-President of the Senate, Chief Ken Nnamani; a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria , Prof. Charles Soludo; ex-Minister of Information, Chief Emeka Chikelu, and Chief Nze Duru.
