1. BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for the provision to deliver rig based well construction services and contract execution with the client within the division in accordance with Company's core processes and performance standards.
2. PREREQUISITES / QUALIFICATIONS: • Drilling or petroleum engineering degree, or engineering degree in other discipline. • 15 – 20 years experience in the drilling industry. 5-10 years experience as a Rig Manager (Performance / Asset) and previous experience in a staff position (QHSE, Marketing, Engineering, HR, etc.) • Computer literacy to facilitate the use of company provided proprietary software as well as common Office Suite programs. • Must possess very good communication skills; oral and written. • Ability to plan, strategize and direct operational issues as required. • Leadership skills to develop individuals within the rig and office teams. • Ability to motivate and manage an organization within a challenging operation environment. • Familiarity with a wide range of rig and well operations which supports safe and effective operation decision making. • Able to prioritize and manage daily situations related to operations, personnel, client, reporting, and local labor issues.
