ABEOKUTA—Following the looming clash between Islamic and Oro cult groups in Remo area of Ogun State, the state government has ordered the deployment of policemen in the area to enforce peace.
The government also ordered the Oro cult group to limit the observance of its scheduled festivals and rites to its immediate communities.
Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Muyiwa Oladipo, said this after an emergency peace meeting in Abeokuta with leaders of the two groups, warning them against flouting the order.
