Eligibility:
The South African and the Egyptian applicants must be employed at a recognised research institution or higher education such as a university, university of technology or science council in their respective countries. The Principal Investigators from both countries must be in possession of a PhD and will be responsible for the scientific and financial reporting, as well as other technical and progress co-ordination of the project.

Scholarship Description: The Republic of South Africa and the Arab Republic of Egypt signed an Agreement for cooperation in science and technology on 26 August 1997. As part of enhancing scientific and technological cooperation, the two countries have decided to jointly support researchers from public universities and public research institutes on an equal and mutually beneficial basis.
