Responsibilities:
• This position supports financial planning & analysis senior leadership in providing analytics in all aspects of financial and statistical studies.
• The position will focus on independent project-based work analyzing trends affecting the organization's performance and providing financial oversight, leadership and support.
• The position will play a pivotal role in all aspects of companywide strategic and operations improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include: identifying issues, forming hypothesis, mining and analyzing data, and making conclusions into recommendations to implement change.
Specifically, the Financial Planning Analyst's duties shall include:
• Responsibility for financial analyses and statistical research
• Making forecasts for all divisions and business opportunities
• Support planning cycle by obtaining relevant data from resources in Finance and other applicable functions
• Analyze data and process them for management information
• Review of variances and analysis of causes of such variances Identification, analyses and monitoring of issues that affect profitability, growth and productivity
• Perform analyses that support findings and recommendations on critical initiatives
• Perform due diligence and build financial models for strategic business objectives
• Mine databases and maintain necessary financial and statistical data for use in various analyses and reporting
• Update and distribute regularly scheduled financial and statistical information and reports
Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:
• Bachelors degree in business (Finance, Accounting, or similar) required; MBA preferred
• 5+ years' experience in cost accounting or corporate finance support role
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles
• Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems
• Advanced Excel financial modeling skills
• Highly organized, with effective time management skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with effectiveness and efficiency under the demand of critical deadlines and conflicting priorities
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
• Experience working with senior-level executives preferred
• Written and oral presentation skills to provide clear and concise presentations
• Distinctive problem solving and analytical skills
