iA Writer is a simple text editor packed full of subtle features such as a custom keybard that makes typing easy and fun on your ipad. Among the other important features is the use of iA to sync documents in the cloud making them available on any  Dropbox or icloud capable devices.



Evernote not only makes it easy to take ntes share and access them nearly on every device you own but also goes beyond simple text notes; one can take photos, add voice notes, draw sketches, create own study materials and even create to do lists. The app has enjoyed good feedback from the users.

Simplenote is a plain text editor that let's you note sync with the simplenote website and access your IOS devices without requiring a premium account.

Paper: This is an app like paper for writing notes and organizing them into notebooks. It makes it simple as diagrams can be drawn using one's finger or a stylus. One can also write notes in own handwriting. The basic pen tool comes with paper for free but cost a total of $ 6.99 when upgraded with all tools.

Paper is a great word processor that is part of apple's iWork suite providing numerous templates from which one can select and create a simple or complex document.
