Eligibility:
The candidate should have a minimum of an Honours degree and excellent writing, research, team-work, organisational, administrative, time-management and computer skills as well as their own transport. The position will be based at SAIIA's Head Office in Johannesburg and may involve travel within Africa. French or Portuguese language skills are an advantage. This is a research position with significant administrative responsibilities.

Scholarship Description: SAIIA seeks to appoint a research assistant/administrator for its Governance and African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) Programme. This programme focuses on governance issues in Africa through the prism of the APRM; it works to support the mechanism at a national and continental level and intends to encourage public debate on critical governance issues. Knowledge of governance challenges in Africa is a pre-requisite, while knowledge of the APRM would be an advantage.
