Responsibilities:
• Consolidating traditional librarian responsibilities with duties relating to evolving technology.
• Help customers locate information and using it proficiently for personal and professional objectives and retrieval of all documents from library and archives. Direct the selection and organization of materials.
• Direct staff, develop and design information programs and systems that will be used and making sure that all information is displayed in a user friendly way. Handling online/on the spot request and follow up request by user
• Organize materials into the various subject maters and provide descriptions of the materials so that can be easily located.
• Monitor assistants, who are in charge updating computer records, or other access tools which aid users in locating materials.
• Coordinates acquisitions, cataloguing, bibliography, reference, special collections, or administration.
• Maintenance of library stocks and infrastructure, control use of library document.
Qualifications/Experience:
• Candidates must possess HND/B.Sc/MBA.
• 3-5 year experience in cataloguing, archiving, record and data management and electronic/online file management.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Comfort with MS packages.
• Personable and good people skills.
• Energetic, attention to details and ability to multi-task.
