LAWYERS in Delta State have called off their boycott of courts in the state because of the kidnap of a judge of the state High Court, Justice Marcel Okoh, last Tuesday.

The boycott was suspended on Thursday soon after the news of the release of Justice Okoh, who spent about eight days in the custody of his kidnappers, came to the notice of the state leadership of the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA.

NBA chair in Warri, Chief Gweke Akudihor, confirmed to Saturday Vanguard in Warri, Friday, "We called off our action after confirming on Wednesday evening that the judge has been released". Saturday Vanguard learnt that the state governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan , propelled the police and other security agencies to smoke out the kidnappers and ensure that the judge was released.
