Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates of Nasarawa State Origin for admission into Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) School of Preliminary Studies (Science Programme Only) for 2012/2013 academic session.
AVAILABLE SUBJECT COMBINATIONS/COURSES
1. SCO1: Biology/Chemistry/Physics: To prepare candidates for admission into the Departments of Chemistry, Physics and Biological Sciences (Microbiology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Zoology, Plant Science and Biotechnology), Agricultural Sciences and Science Education.
2. SCO2: Chemistry/Mathematics/Physics: To prepare candidates for admission into the Departments of Mathematical Sciences (Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics), Chemistry, Physics and Science Education.
3. SCO3: Chemistry/Geography/Physics: To prepare candidates for admission into the Departments of Geology and Mining, Geography, Chemistry, Physics and Science Education.
4. SCO4: Biology/Geography/Physics: To prepare candidates for admission into the Departments of Geography, Geology and Mining, Biological Sciences, Psychology and Science Education.
5. Pre-French Course: To prepare candidates for degree programmes in French language, and Languages and Linguistics.
DURATION: The programme lasts for one academic session only.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must possess (5) 'O' Level Credits including English and Mathematics, three of which must be in the relevant subject combinations to be offered. For Pre-Degree programme in French, a candidate must have Credit in French in addition to credit in English and any other three.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Prospective candidates are advised to purchase the form at the cost of N3,200.00 (Three thousand two hundred naira) only from Keffi Microfinance Bank, Keffi. The sale of the forms commences on 2nd July, 2012 and closes on 30th September, 2012.
