Role Summary/Purpose:

The Lead Project Controller is a key member of the EPC projects and shall provide proficient and effective support to Project Managers, Engineers and Project teams in defining project goals and objective, monitor and control execution of projects within time and budgetary parameters, while optimizing resource utilization. Support projects functions in the development of project planning and project control systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

He/She will work directly with project managers, Engineers and other project team members to drive the project control office with the following responsibilities:

Contract and Risk Administration – Review of Clients and Suppliers contracts. – Monitor contract compliance. – Facilitate team session to identify risks, document/track issues and risks, oversee risk analysis and impact and provide project manager with status report of open issues and risks. – Track scope changes, gather data and analyze impact of change and make recommendation(s) to the project manager – Facilitate lesson learned session

Information Management/Document Control – Acts as the secondary communication contact (internal and external) for project in the absence of the project manager – Coordinates and communicates project deliverables and cost requirements to the key functions to meet scheduled deliverables in a quality and cost effective manner – Set-up the document control center for EPC projects and lead efforts to implement standard metrics across all EPC projects by which Project Controls and document control personnel will be measured – Review status of the documentation, including overdue actions, non-conformities and customer communications and generate periodic reports as per agreed project routine – Act as Project Interface contact for all interfaces on project

Planning & Schedule Control – Closely co-operates with the Project Planners to collect Status updates for tasks; analyze variations, slipping tasks, impact of task changes, critical path, and overall ability of project to deliver on time and recommend improvements – Ensure responsibility matrix is in place and resource allocations are current

Cost Control – Coordinates and communicates project delivery and cost requirements to the key functions to meet scheduled deliverables in a quality and cost effective manner. – Monitoring project financial performance against budget and identify potential variation orders. – Assist in negotiation and generation of variation orders. – Track all expenditures, analyze spending trends and estimate final costs; report any deviation from baseline and recommend methods to keep project under budget – Ensure milestone payment are raised and issued to Customers within Project Milestone Payment Schedule and expedite their return in conjunction with Project Accountant

Quality – Ensure compliance with business management system through the lifecycle of project – Ensure quality of project documentation in line with Company document management system and procedures and specific Customer requirement

EHS – lead by example, promote the EHS message, both externally and internally

Qualifications/Requirements:

The role must interface with the Customer, Functional Teams and Suppliers as required across both Subsea CoE and Services. – Bachelor's Degree. – At least 5 years of experience in Project or Program Management or Project Controls.
