Description:
1. Provides standard to moderately complex financial support that is either transactional or analytical for a financial function or a business
2. Establishes and maintains relationships with stakeholders to actively ensure basic accounting analysis needs are met.
3. Provides analytic support to business initiatives
4. Develops a deeper understanding of HP's accounting processes and a detailed knowledge of the business
5. Handles and processes expenses, invoices, requests for payment and other accounting documents.
6. Explains billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients
7. Deals with daily transactions for the petty cash / banks and ensures that reconciliations are completed on a regular basis
8. Prepares accruals and other accounting entries
9. Resolves accounting discrepancies
Identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engages in the design.
Represents the business unit during cross-regional or cross functional planning processes.
Ability to influence multiple organizations within a broad scope, typically interacting with directors and Vice President (VP)s.
Education and Experience Required:
• First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
• Typically 8+ years of experience in finance & accounting.
• Typically experienced in more than one finance function.
