Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos state has approved the appointment of of new acting permanent secretaries in the state's civil service.
Mrs. Ganiyat Adeola Afun and Dr. Francis Olatunde Williams were appointed Acting Permanent Secretaries in the state Public Service. Their appointments took effect from July 31st, 2012 and September 3rd, 2012 respectively.
Mrs. Afun was, until her appointment, the Director, Conservation and Ecology and she will oversee the office of the Environmental Services in the Ministry of the Environment, while Dr. Williams was the Chief Medical Director of the Ebute Metta Health Centre and he is still without a portfolio .
In a circular issued yesterday by the Head of Service, Mr. Adesegun Ogunlewe, the governor also approved the appointment of Surveyor Olorunjuwon Joseph Agbenla as the acting Surveyor-General of the state with effect from 13 th June, 2012.
Similarly, the governor approved the appointmenst of Heads of some parastatals and organizations in the state.
The new appointees according to the circular are; Engr. Oladipupo Onimole, General Manager, Lagos State Public Procurement Agency with effect from 31st January, 2012; Mrs. Tanwa Koya, Executive Secretary, Lagos State Water Regulatory Commission with effect from 24th March, 2012; Mr. Olukunle David-Sotade, General Manager, Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency with effect from 24th May, 2012; Mr. Aderoju Adepoju, Acting General Manager, Lagos State Radio Service with effect from 13th June, 2012; Mr. Babatunde Williams, Managing Director, Lagos Ferry Services Company with effect from 18th June, 2012 Dr. Babatunde Awelenje, General Manager, Lagos State Office of Disability Affairs with effect from June, 24th 2012.
Mrs. Kafayat Odunayo, General Manager, Lagos State Building Control Agency with effect from July 24th. 2012 and Ms. Adenike Adekanbi,Acting General Manager of Lagos State Infrastructure Asset Management Agency with effect from 30th July, 2012.
Also, Tpl. Rotimi Toyin,Tpl. Kehinde Benedict Olawunmi were appointed as the new General Managers for Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA) and Lagos State Urban Renewal Authority (LASURA) respectively.
Tpl. Abdul until his appointment was the Director, Transportation Policy and Co-ordination Department, Lagos Ministry of Transportation.
