Eligibility:

-The Scholarship is open to all South African citizens, who have matriculated in 2011 or 2012 entering higher education in 2013 for the first time.

-A provisional list of recipients is compiled based on their results in the final Grade 11, Grade 12 June and Grade 12 September examinations.

-MU Academic Point Score (APS) of at least 49 or more in the final Grade 12 examination in order to be considered for the scholarship.

-If a candidate on the provisional list does not achieve an APS of 49 in the final Grade 12 examination, he/she may still qualify for the scholarship if the selection panel is satisfied that he/she has nevertheless achieved acceptable academic excellence.

Scholarship Open for International Students: No

Scholarship Description: The Scholarship is open to all South African citizens, who have matriculated in 2011 or 2012 entering higher education in 2013 for the first time.

What it covers:The monetary value of the scholarship programme is R60 000 per annum, for the standard

duration of your NMMU study programme, up to a maximum of four years.

-The scholarship cover all registration and tuition fees, all reasonable accommodation costs, the average cost of books and other study material, all meals, the cost of transportation to and from home, a personal allowance, as well as the expenditure related to the developmental programme attached to the scholarship.
