Post by: DT on Sep 21, 2012, 07:30 AM
A hospital in Wiesbaden, Germany where Nigeria's First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan is admitted yesterday said it was not allowed to give details about her health situation to foreigners.

When contacted, Marketing Manager of HSK hospital, Dr. Klaus Krehle said details about Mrs. Jonathan remained top secret and won't be released to people other than Germans. "Sorry, we are not allowed by German law (protection of personal data) to tell foreigners about the details of patients treated in our hospital." He said.

The Manager further said the hospital official in charge of patient administration can provide additional information. "You should get in contact with my colleague, Mr. Ainetter - he is in charge of the patient administration." Mr. Ainetter did not respond to electronic messages sent to him before the time of filing this report yesterday (7:30pm)

Earlier, a hospital official said by telephone that she wasn't authorized to give details about the First Lady and referred this reporter Dr. Krehle.

Reports yet to be confirmed from hospital said doctors said Mrs. Jonathan was recuperating well, but it will take long period for the hospital to release her. The report said doctors will approve her discharge certificate if she is confirmed well.
