WARA gives out three opportunities per year for volunteers to gain work experience with our team. Minimum stay is three months and maximum stay is six months. Volunteers need to have a minimum qualification as a paramedic or EMT Medic or be in their fourth or fifth year as a full time medical student or their final year in training as a nurse.
The package for volunteers is as follows:
• WARA will pay for your return flights to Ghana/ Sierra Leone for your trip
• WARA will pay for the costs of your visa, essential vaccinations and travel insurance policy
• WARA will pay for the cost of your full board and lodging for the duration of your time in Ghana/ Sierra Leone
• WARA will take care of minor local health care problems for the duration of your time in Ghana/ Sierra Leone
It is required that you:
• Are prepared to work voluntarily within our medical team for the duration of your time in country
