But, two other aspirants, Chief Joel Madaki and Dr. Umar Ardo, protested the outcome of the exercise, alleging irregularities and non-appearance of electoral officers.
Ardo said : "In Adamawa State there is no vote talk less of counting the votes as the president has been repeating that every vote shall count, so his principles of one man one vote is defeated.
"We urgently went to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and lodged our complaints and observations, but to my dismay, INEC told us that the party did not give them a clear procedure and time table of the election so they did not come out. "
Madaki, former PDP state chairman, said his agents reported that there was no official of the party that came to supervise the exercise.
He said the national officers of the party, who were sent to supervise the election disappeared.
