ABUJA – GOVERNOR Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna State has promised to increase the present Internally-Generated Revenue, IGR, base of N700 million monthly to N3 billion.

Yakowa, in a statement, yesterday, by his External Affairs Relations Officer, Mr. Emmanuel Ado, said the move was aimed at making the state financially free from dependence on the federation allocation and to raise the much-needed resources to continue the delivery of democracy dividends to the people of the state.

Ado said the governor was heading a committee  that is working towards increasing the revenue base of the state.
