A dramatic video posted Wednesday (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLHU-_OhT8g)on YouTube shows a U.S. soldier surviving a firefight with the Taliban in Afghanistan’s Kunar Province.
Follow @NBCNewsWorld (http://twitter.com/NBCNewsWorld)The video, which was captured by a camera mounted to the soldier’s helmet, shows the cameraman pinned down by machine gun fire, getting shot several times and yelling, “I’m hit! I’m hit!”
“I got hit a total of four times,” the cameraman wrote in his description of the video, which was provided to NBC News by the curator of a YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/FUNKER530)originally started to share about 100 videos from his own tour in Afghanistan and which now posts videos submitted by other combat veterans. The video was also posted on the Facebook page for Military Minds (http://www.facebook.com/MilitaryMindsYT), an organization that aims to raise awareness of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
