Kathryn Sara Cox, 23, who is British, and an Australian identified in local media as 32-year-old Fiona Louise Wilde, were seized on Friday by what Ecuadorean authorities said was a Colombian group, according to a BBC report (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-19773834).
Ecuador's interior minister Jose Serrano said the two were rescued Sunday night by police and armed forces.
