Odion Ighalo, Flying Eagles skipper to the 2009 FIFA Under 20 world cup in Egypt is close to a move to Spain, allnigeriasoccer.com can reveal.
The 21-year-old on-loan Cesena forward, who is currently tied to Udinese until the summer of 2013, will leave Cesena in the winter market, specifically to Spanish Segunda division side Granada.
Granada have a good relationship with Udinese, and in fact are one of the satellite clubs of the Bianconeri. The agent of the Nigerian prospect, Patrick Bastianelli recently told Italian media that Ighalo had to leave Cesena in January to afford him the opportunity of playing with continuity.
Ighalo joined Cesena on loan in the summer market, but has failed to establish himself in the squad. A move to Granada where he was a cult hero in the 2009-2010 season is almost a done deal.
