Role Synopsis:
To function as part of maintenance Technician group, providing specialist support roles in a variety of technical duties to support the maintenance and reliability initiatives of the Geo-market, as related to the current Drilling & Evaluation supported tool suite and surface equipment. This position will work unsupervised but under the direction of the Facility Maintenance Supervisor. The position requires significant knowledge of Drilling & Evaluation products and the ability to quickly assess existing and potential problem areas concerning maintenance practices and product reliability
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Driving all AMO (Assembly, Maintenance & Overhaul) processes for Baker Hughes Drilling Services – Down Hole equipment / Surface equipment maintenance, to achieve the desired quality, safe, efficient and reliable products / services, that is Best In Class.
• Be part of AMO support programs such as control and documentation of assets, using Baker Hughes SAP and MaPS application systems.
• Work as a strong team player within the AMO organizational structure, to enhance and maintain the Baker Hughes Operating System (BHOS) requirements.
• Perform follow up / work on corrective actions required, including documentation of corrective procedures.
• Follow up with the Internal BH QC Specialist, in monitoring AMO 3rd party machine shop repairs (mechanical repairs), tools NDT inspection control to ensure quality within the AMO processes and workflow.
• Handles special projects, as assigned. Not limited to HS&E tasks.
Any other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager / Supervisor as appropriate
Basic Qualifications
• Nationally recognized qualification in a mechanical or electronic discipline e.g. "Higher National Diploma" ("HND")
• Minimum 2 years relevant industrial experience.
• Successful completion of written technical pre-assessment
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
• Proficient in use of computer based programs related to application of products.
• Good communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Good analytical skills.
