Job Description
KEY REPORTING Relationships:
• REPORTS TO: Construction Lead
• SUPERVISES: None
• LOCATION: QIT
MAIN FUNCTION:
• Coordinate/manage scaffold outboard usage per platform, monitor usage, track and plan for transfer of scaffold from one platform to another.
• Assist with coordination of erection and dismantling of all inboard and outboard scaffolds.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Review procured scaffold quantity is sufficient for project need
• Review IFC drawings in order to ascertain area of scaffolding requirements
• To provide technical advice and determine from work scope platform inboard scaffold requirement
• Coordinate and plan efficient inboard scaffold utilization per platform
• Monitor inboard scaffold usage, track utilization, plan, coordinate the transfer of inboard scaffold from one platform to another
• To monitor, enforce and record the regular maintenance plan of access scaffolding equipment by the subcontractor (clips, boards, identification).
• When on work site assist and provide support to construction superintendent to ensure correct use of scaffold tools & equipment PPE are being maintained, recorded on a regular basis and used in the appropriate manner
• Assist from time to time to inspect and confirm all scaffolds status are in line with MPN Scaffold Inspection Safety Checklist
• Assist to review and recommend for approval all scaffold work procedures as provided by installation subcontractors
• Assist to review and recommend for approval Working At Height (WAH) procedure as provided by installation subcontractors
• Monitor and follow up scaffold related incidents, near misses, unsafe acts /conditions
• To perform regular checks that safety equipment such as Rescue from height packs, FBH and SRL's are being used correctly and maintained and periodically recorded within the required manufacturer's guidelines
• To routinely monitor work performance and record all project scaffolding access activities using provided electronic or hard copy format and to submit to the Construction Site Lead on a daily basis
• To assist Surfer crew boats for the contractors scaffolding personnel to travel to remote worksite platforms.
• To ensure that he and the contractors personnel comply with strict protocol rules.
