Two people have been detained at London's Heathrow Airport on suspicions of terrorism. A man and a woman, both 26 years old, have been taken to a Central London police station. Scotland Yard said in a statement that anti-terror officers made the arrests after the pair arrived from Egypt late Tuesday.
The arrests are part of an inquiry into travel to Syria in support of alleged extremist activity. Officers are searching two addresses in East London under the Terrorism Act in connection with their investigation.
