The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) has said that President Goodluck Jonathan is being deceived by some of his aides, hence the various slips and needless crisis the presidency is being led into.
The group therefore, asked the president toimmediately drop all those misleading his government and consequently inflicting hardship on Nigerians so that the people can know how much of the present calamitous governance to blame on President Jonathan.
Speaking with newsmen in Abuja at the weekend, the Secretary General of CNPP, Chief Willy Ezugwu specifically mentioned the Chief of Staff (COS) to the president, MikeOghadomhe, Minister for Information, Labaran  Maku and Jonathan's Senior Special Assistant on Publicity, Dr. Doyin Okupe as aides who need to be immediately relieved of their appointments if the president is to have a clear cut sense of direction and feel the pulse of the nation.
Chief Ezugwu said it was unfortunate that the activities of the president's COS tended to depict the president as an introvert and selfish person, saying reports emanating from the presidency as to how the office is being ran suggested that 80% of the truth and facts of issues in the country were being deliberately distorted before it got to the president, more so that deals cutting had become the order of the day.
"Shady deals like undue-meddlesomeness in the privatization of   NITEL and NEPA havebeen linked with the COS along – side wealthy individuals in the country. These practices against the Nigerian nation have only but succeeded in putting the presidency in bad light," Ezugwu said.
He further mentioned Labaran Maku and Dr.Doyin Okype as two aides that also have to be relieved of their jobs with immediate effect as their levels of sycophancy has pitched Nigerians against President Jonathan and the loss of faith that has trailed therein.
