The 22-year-old started Friday's 6-1 World Cup qualification win over Republic of Ireland from the bench, but impressed after coming on at half-time as he netted twice, and Kroos now feels the time has come to start him.
"Obviously you're disappointed when you've made such a good start to the season [at club level], but don't start [for the national side]," Kroos was quoted as saying on the official Bayern website.
"Those who know me are well aware that I have confidence in myself, and it's my opinion that I ought to be playing somewhere.
"But it's not something I can influence. Naturally, we have tremendous quality and many options, especially in midfield.
"I've arrived in very good form, and I went out and confirmed it [against Ireland], no more and no less."
