Title: Bafarawa picks up ACN Presidential Nomination Form
Post by: sparrow on Jan 07, 2011, 07:01 AM
FORMER Sokoto State Governor Attahiru Bafarawa Thursday bought the presidential nomination form of the  Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) at the party's headquarters in Abuja.

He said: "My achievements are in Sokoto as every Nigerian can witness. In 2007, when I was leaving office, I left almost N12billion for the government. If you go to Sokoto you can see my achievements. I constructed more than 1,400 kilometer tarred roads."

ACN National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said the party would not allow the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to destroy the country further.

This, Mohammed said, informed the merger talks with the All Nigerian People Party (ANPP), Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and other parties.

He said: "We in ACN will do everything possible to ensure that a progressive party like ACN either alone or in collaboration with any other progressive party wins the next presidential election," adding: "All options are still open. The fact that a person has emerged as a presidential candidate of his party does not bring to conclusion that that is the end of any negotiation."
