WARRI—SENATOR James Manager, representing Delta South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has called on the Federal Government to, as a matter of urgency, make the East-West Road passable to enable people send relief materials to flood-ravaged victims in Patani, Bomadi and Burutu Local Government Areas of Delta State.
Senator Manager made the call when he donated relief materials worth millions of naira to Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, from Patani, Bomadi and Burutu at the various resettlement camps set up by the state government.
The items, including foodstuff, toiletries, mattresses and N2,000 to each of the camps, were delivered by his wife, Mrs. Juliana Manager.
She explained in the respective camps that the relief materials were from her husband, Frank Enekorogha, member representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and Hon. Oboro Preyor, representing Bomadi constituency in the State House of Assembly.
Senator Manager said with the situation on ground, Patani and other communities have been cut- off from other parts of the state.
